Not all grilled cheese sandwiches need to be savory. Try jumping into fall with this sweet grilled Nutella, brie, pear and fig sandwich. This sandwich is so ooey-gooey, creamy and chocolatey .. who can resist?
Heat a medium skillet over medium-low heat. Spread 1/2 Tbsp of butter on each slice of bread. Once the pan is hot, add two slices of bread, butter side down, to the pan.
Spread 1 1/2 Tbsps. of Nutella on each slice of bread in the pan. Top with brie, evenly distributing between the two slices. Top with slices of pear and sliced dried figs. Top each slice with the remaining bread, unbuttered side down.
Brown the bottom slice of bread until golden brown and crisp. Carefully flip the sandwiches over. Brown the other slices of bread until golden brown and the brie is melted.
